It's official. I am up and running with a new practice located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. While I was so sad to leave Chicago, I am excited to start on a new adventure. I spoke with many people about this big transition and I appreciate all of the support from near and far! It was difficult to say goodbye to so many wonderful people, especially my clients. With all of the goodbyes, I realized the impact of the therapeutic process for everyone involved. I had so many beautiful experiences in all of my goodbyes and I continue to remind myself that goodbyes aren't necessarily an ending... They can also be viewed as a beginning. With this lesson, I'm taking this transition as a beginning, because that seems much more exciting to me.
I have started my own practice in Bloomfield Hills. I am extremely excited for this new opportunity and I am even more excited to get back into the field of mental health. I will continue to provide psychotherapy, art therapy, and Somatic Experiencing ®, and continue working with individuals with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and over-achievement. I will also be directing some of my focus to work with athletes in processing body feelings to optimize overall performance. I am specifically interested in working with figure skaters and cheerleaders throughout the metro Detroit area that are interested in optimal body performance and anxiety management.
Thank you to all of my clients in Chicago and Evanston... You all taught me sooooo much more than I could ever have imagined throughout our time together. I am hopeful that you all will also find our ending to be a new beginning and will embrace the new opportunities that lie ahead of you! And thank you to everyone that helped my build my practices in Illinois. I couldn't have done it without any of you and I can only hope that you all know that I am grateful and humbled by your connections and support.
